Regulatory status.

Pesito is operated by Aztlan Software, Inc., a corporation organized in the United States. We are a technology company, not a bank. Pesito is pre-launch: the wallet and transfer features described on this site are not yet available.

What we are

A technology company building a mobile wallet. When the service launches, funds sent and received through Pesito will be held in custody at licensed financial partners; we do not take deposits, do not extend credit, and do not issue securities.

What we are not

  • Not a bank, and not a credit union.
  • Not currently licensed as a money transmitter in any state. Licensing is in progress, and we will not accept or transmit customer funds until the required licenses are in place.
  • Not a credit institution (institución de crédito) under Mexico's banking law, and not authorized or supervised by the CNBV (Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores) or any other Mexican financial authority.
  • Not an authorized ITF (Institución de Tecnología Financiera) under Mexico's 2018 Fintech Law, and not pursuing that authorization.

Partner institutions

The specific financial institutions and payment partners that will support Pesito's planned cash-in, SPEI connectivity, and custody services will be published on this site and in our Spanish Términos de Servicio before launch. Once the service is live, we will keep that list updated and notify users 30 days before any change takes effect.

Open-source acknowledgements

The Pesito mobile app is built in part with open-source software. Full attribution, license texts, and third-party notices will be available inside the app under Settings → About → Open Source once the app launches and is installed.
