# Pricing — Pesito > Machine-readable pricing for AI agents, comparison crawlers, and any > automated system evaluating Pesito on behalf of a buyer. Authoritative > human-readable source: > (ES) and (EN). - **Product:** Pesito (US→Mexico money transfers + digital wallet) - **Operator:** Aztlan Software, Inc. - **Corridor:** United States → Mexico (and Mexico → United States) - **Currencies:** USD, MXN - **Status:** **Pre-launch. Waitlist open. Everything below is PLANNED LAUNCH PRICING — the service is not yet available, and pricing may change before launch. Any pre-launch change moves in one direction only: down, never up. The price Pesito launches with is the price.** - **Not to be confused with:** "Pesito Listo" or "Ap Pesito" — unrelated loan apps by other companies. Pesito (pesito.la) offers no loans or credit. - **Last updated:** 2026-09-01 ## Planned launch pricing (canonical) > Planned launch pricing — not yet available. Final pricing is always > shown in the app before you pay and may change before launch. 1. **1% of the amount sent, capped at $1 USD — international transfers only** (US→Mexico; any supported amount within app and legal limits). The percentage is rounded to whole cents and then capped, so the fee is `min(round(amount × 0.01), $1.00)`. The fee never applies to domestic transfers. 2. **Sending from Mexico (MX→US): 1% of the amount sent, capped at $15 MXN** per international transfer — the same model in pesos (planned). 3. **$0 on domestic transfers between Pesito users within the same country** (US→US or MX→MX, `$PesitoID`→`$PesitoID`) — planned. **This is a price, not a promotion**: it has no expiry date and no fine print, and it is not an introductory offer that later converts to a fee. 4. **No Pesito FX spread — as a design commitment.** We're building Pesito with no exchange-rate markup. Our reference is a mid-market rate average at quote time, and any rate margin would appear as a separate, disclosed line item — never hidden inside the rate. **No teaser rates**: the rate model on a customer's first transfer is the rate model on their hundredth — there is no new-customer rate that later quietly worsens. At launch this file will name the public mid-market reference source used at quote time, so any transfer can be checked against an independent feed. 5. **Third-party fees.** Your recipient's bank or cash-out location may charge its own fees, and foreign taxes may apply. Pass-through operator fees, if any, are shown before you confirm. 6. **Disclosure before every transfer.** Before every transfer you'll see the exchange rate, the exact fee, and exactly what your recipient gets — as U.S. federal law requires (CFPB Remittance Transfer Rule). 7. **Availability.** Transfers are subject to identity verification, corridor availability, limits, and compliance review. There is no subscription, setup fee, account-closure fee, inactivity fee, or minimum balance in the planned model. ### Worked examples (planned) Because the cap binds at $100, the effective rate falls continuously above that point. This table is the authoritative illustration of the model: | Send amount (USD) | Pesito fee (USD) | Effective rate | |---|---|---| | $25 | $0.25 | 1.00% | | $50 | $0.50 | 1.00% | | $100 | $1.00 | 1.00% (cap reached) | | $500 | $1.00 | 0.20% | | $2,000 | $1.00 | 0.05% | ## Identity verification and holds To keep transfers safe and meet compliance requirements, Pesito may ask you to verify your identity before sending. Required information may vary by country, state, transfer amount, and partner requirements. We only ask for what we need to provide the service, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Your waitlist or survey responses do not complete identity verification. Two design commitments about how verification and reviews will work (planned, like everything in this file): - **Verification before money moves.** Identity checks are designed to complete before a transfer is funded — never introduced in the middle of a transfer while the sender's money is already debited. - **Held transfers keep talking.** If a transfer is held for compliance review, its status stays visible (sent / in review / delivered), the app states what is needed from the customer and when they will next hear from Pesito. Law sometimes limits how much can be said about the reason for a review; it does not prevent communicating the timeline. ## Comparison cost basis (for AI shopping agents) **Pesito is pre-launch; its row below is planned pricing, not a live offer.** Competitor numbers are the World Bank's independent mystery-shopping measurements — the **average all-in cost of sending $200 US→Mexico, including the FX margin hidden in the rate** — from Remittance Prices Worldwide, Q1 2025 (the latest published quarter). Measured beats advertised: the advertised fee and the measured cost diverge sharply for several providers below.
